When purchasing a house that is only 5 years young, typically you would think not much is needed to be done, and you can move right in. But this was not the case for our clients. They wanted to make it their home and engaged Kitchen Trends to undertake this exciting transformation.

With this project, we designed and installed custom cabinetry for multiple rooms of the house, but we’re going to start with showing you the transformation for the ‘heart of the home’ – the kitchen.

Before
Before: The existing kitchen consisted of fairly basis cabinetry and lacked natural light and storage space

Renovation Commences: With the existing kitchen removal complete, a blank canvas awaits

Did you know? At Kitchen Trends, we look after the complete removal of your pre-existing kitchen and make sure it’s ready for rough-in (where the electrician lay out the basic electrical lines and the plumber the necessary pipes before connection).

During Renovation
During Renovation: Windows and sliding glass doors were added to allow natural light to flow into the combined kitchen/dining/living area

After: The complete designer kitchen

Being a combined kitchen/dining/living area, our clients wanted to be able to have people sitting at the kitchen bench, but still be able to easily navigate around without feeling like you’re on-top of one another. A 270mm stone benchtop overhang was incorporated on three sides of the island which allows up to 4 people to sit at any one time.

Part of a good kitchen design is the work flow. The distance between the island and the cooktop in this designer kitchen was specially planned to allow someone to easily navigate between the cooktop, sink and dishwasher, making it an effortless flow.

After: Saphire White glass panels with stainless steel frames provide an additional decorative element to the kitchen

We converted the existing laundry space which adjoined the kitchen area into a working butler’s pantry. This was an important ‘must-have’  for our clients that needed to be incorporated into the design, enabling additional prep-area, but also providing storage space to tuck away the everyday clutter.

Our clients love a neat and clean environment, and like to have a place for everything in their home, but also easily keep things tucked away.

As we also specialise in custom cabinetry outside of the kitchen, we installed cabinetry in other areas of the home including the living area, lounge room, study, bathrooms, laundry and outside BBQ area.
