As anyone living with children can attest, daily household life can be busy, if not downright chaotic. It was with this consideration in mind that we crafted this incredible family eatery, a master ensuite bathroom and spacious modern living space, all mirroring the design aesthetics of the kitchen throughout the entire home.
A muted colour palette was utilized to match the living rooms of the house, with a combination of spotted gum timber and Caesarstone frosty carina used for the island bench and Polytec strata grey in matt for the overhead. This clean and unified look is complimented by finger pull drawers throughout, giving the kitchen an organised format that will doubtless prove important for a busy family lifestyle.
The 4.3m island bench is the star of the kitchen, as it creates a communal space for the family to gather and prepare meals with ease. The design is both ergonomic and practical and the entire kitchen design blends well with the adjoining living rooms.
To avoid a join in the Caesarstone on the timber island bench, a combination of spotted gum timber and a 3m slab of Caesarstone ‘Frosty Carina’ were integrated to create a sleek finish. This spotted gum feature was then replicated in other areas of the home to ensure a flowing design from one room to the next.
An office nook was incorporated in the end wall of the kitchen, with a row of drawers and overhead cabinets providing plenty of storage around the mini workspace.
The butler’s pantry hides smaller appliances and keeps the benchtop free of clutter, while the drawers to the base cabinetry function ergonomically.
An abundance of drawers and cupboards in the kitchen allows for convenient storage, so the kitchen remains sleek and tidy despite the family’s business lifestyle.
Open corner display shelves, his & her basins & mirrors, contrasting white cabinetry all combine to provide a striking feature in the master ensuite. Similarly featuring spotted gum timber for the floating vanity top and shaving cabinet, like the kitchen, the bathroom design itself is not just pleasing to the eye but clean and organised.
